My Summer Camp Experience – Oreoluwa

Hi, my name is Oreoluwa. I am 12 years old; I was excited when I heard the summer camp is coming up. I informed some of my classmates about the camp; I was delighted that I will be able to acquire new skills.

I was happy that the summer camp was free and there was free food. My dad decided to drop me off, but before then, we decided to buy chicken and some provisions, and on our way, we encountered some police officers that got us delayed.

I got there some days before camp started, so I had time to tour the surrounding. Upon commencement of camp activities, we moved to our hostel to drop off our luggage.

The camp started with the morning workout followed by breakfast and digital literacy skills, which Mary took.

I learned many vocational skills, including Fashion design which Kemi taught, Organic care by Daydah; WordPress development from Geektutor and WordPress design by Christain; Mr Sam facilitated Videography, Photography by Cipet Imaging, Blogging by Adedotun, T-shirt design by Seyi and teen chat by Olamide Yelo.

I am so grateful for everything I learnt and appreciate every effort put into this camp to ensure it was a success; I’m very thankful for everything. I thank Mary and the facilitators and sponsors for making me experience this.
