In partnership with Nubianette Consulting, we hosted a five (5) day intensive leadership, entrepreneurship and coding bootcamp for 8 young women (age 18 and above) selected from applications received across Nigeria.
The bootcamp took place at Uwani Hub from November 17th to 23rd 2019.
Thank you to all those who supported Mary’s birthday fundraiser for this programme, we made it happen and we made an impact.
Participants arrived at the venue on Sunday, 17th November 2019. They were welcomed and checked into their accommodations, thanks to GeoBajas Hotel for sponsoring us with ten (10) of their rooms, we are super grateful. We had a welcome dinner, introduced ourselves and backgrounds, as well as what we hoped to achieve at the end of the bootcamp. We had one lady come from Enugu, Six from Lagos, and One from Abeokuta.
We started each day with Morning Yoga led by Ali, had breakfast then proceeded to the Hub for three consecutive sessions with tea breaks, lunch and stretches in between. In the evening, we played games in the outdoor area, had siesta for one hour, dinner and chat afterwards, and lights out.
